People in Sherawa are fighting both against the hardship of the occupation and the coronavirus pandemic.
Following the invasion of Afrin carried out by the Turkish state and its mercenaries, the villages of Kelweta, Birc El Qas, Zeraîtayê, Zoq El Kebîr, Başmara and Meyasa in the Sherawa district of Afrin remained surrounded by the Turkish state on one hand and the Syrian government on the other.
The people are having a difficult time due to the embargo and are struggling against greater difficulties with the spread of the Coronavirus in the region.
Abdulrahman Mihemed, who works at Heyva Sor a Kurd health center in the village of Birc El Qas in Sherawa, told ANHA that those who came to the province from Nibil and Zehra in the province of Aleppo brought the virus.
Stating that the health center where he works serves 6 villages in Sherawa, Mihemed remarked that they do not have the necessary equipment and personnel to combat the virus, and that the health center can only provide first aid.
Mihemed called on international health organizations to provide support so that the lives of thousands of people are not endangered.
