The people of Afrin and Shehba celebrated with enthusiasm the 8th anniversary of the 19 July Rojava Revolution.

Berxwedan Camp

The celebration at Berxwedan Camp started with a minute silence. Speaking at the celebration, Reşîd İbrahim, a member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, pointed out the role of the youth in the revolution and said: “We have come to these days thanks to the sacrifices and struggle of our martyrs. All young people should participate in the revolution with the spirit of patriotism and resistance and protect the revolution’s achievements.”

Ehris

Speaking at the celebration held in Ehris, Kongra Star Afrin Canton Chair Emîna Dengelî pointed out the role of women in the Rojava Revolution and said: “All women, especially Kurdish women, have achieved great gains in all areas of life. They showed their skilled leadership to the whole world during the revolution process.”

Ehris District Council co-chair Fewzî Silêmanî also pointed out that the Kurdish people have carried out an incredible resistance and regained the rights that had been taken away for thousands of years.

Tıl Rıfat, Veger Camp and Ehdas

The anniversary of the Rojava Revolution was celebrated with events joined by hundreds of people in Tıl Rıfat, Veger Camp and Ehdas district.
