A protest march was staged in Kobanê against occupation and genocide attacks.
In the city of Kobanê in North-East Syria, a march was staged in protest at the attacks of the invading Turkish state and allied SNA gangs. The people, who came together in the Free Women's Square, expressed their reactions against the ongoing invasion and genocide attacks on the region. Masses marched from Free Women's Square to the Şehid Egîd Square, chanting slogans and carrying posters of Abdullah Öcalan and flags of the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces).
Speaking at the rally at Şehid Egîd Square, TEV-DEM (Democratic Society Movement) Euphrates Canton Co-Chair Enwer Muslim pointed out that a new era has begun in Syria. Muslim noted that the Turkish state wanted to plunge the new period into darkness. Noting that the people living in the Autonomous Administration regions are a basic component of Syria, Muslim said: "As Northern and Eastern Syria, we want to live in a democratic Syria because we are an integral part of Syria. We find the statements of the new government in Damascus that recognise the Kurds as an essential component of Syria positive. However, these statements must be put into practice on the ground. Resistance against the attacks of the occupiers must continue. The coalition must also do its part.”
