Members of Manbij Zenoba Women's Union and Manbij Assembly spoke out against the latest attacks of the Turkish army on southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

Interviewed by ANF, Nedin Şeyh Mihemmed, a member of the Zenoba Women's Union, stated that the Turkish state has been attacking the region for a long time, as a result of which women and children were also killed, and thousands of people were forced to migrate.

“We, the peoples of the region, are fighting together against these attacks. The Turkish state believes that its policy of aggression could break the will of the peoples in the region, but we will continue to resist and protect our lands. We know that the attacks on the guerrillas and Şengal have a common goal. As women in north-eastern Syria, we will fight to the end against the attacks of the Turkish state and its collaborators,” Mihemmed said.

WE WILL NOT ALLOW TURKISH INVASION

Heyat Saim, a member of the North-East Syrian Women's Council, said that the Turkish attacks on north-eastern Syria and South Kurdistan aim at occupying and dominating the regions by disconnecting neighbouring cities.

“We have been at war for the last 10 years. We will not hand over our land to Turkey. As the Turkmen people, we will resist this attack and occupation together with the Kurdish people,” Saim added.

AGAINST THE DEMOCRATIC NATION PROJECT

Mihemmed Kabarta, a Circassian living in Manbij, stated that the Turkish state targets all peoples because it wants to stifle the Democratic Nation project. "We will stand against these attacks to the full extent. We expect the international community to respond to Turkish aggression. International powers remain silent because they consider our project as dangerous to them. As the Syrian peoples, we are supposed to unite around the Autonomous Administration.”

WE HAVE TO BAND TOGETHER AGAINST ATTACKS

Debea Beko, a member of the Zenoba Women's Union, said that all peoples must band together against the Turkish attacks.

Cuma Heyder, a Turkmen citizen, emphasized that the Autonomous Administration has been fighting for all peoples since the beginning and does not discriminate against the peoples. “Since the beginning of the revolution, the Turkish state has been attacking these achievements. As the Turkmen people, we will continue to defy these attacks all the way.”

Asya İsmail Hisên, a member of the Zenoba Women's Assembly, said that the Turkish state has been escalating its attacks on North Iraq and North-East Syria, since it has already been defeated.

“In the meantime, the government of Damascus remains silent. If the Damascus government fulfilled its responsibility, the US and Russia would not keep troops here. On the other hand, the KDP has been doing the same thing for years. The KDP should be ashamed of taking sides with those who massacre the Kurds,” she said.
