The Syrian Future Party held a march under the motto "Our representation is the Autonomous Administration" and called for recognition of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.
The march was attended by hundreds of Raqqa citizens, as well as members of civil and military institutions, the Syrian Future Party and the residents of Tabqa.
The crowd gathered in Raqqa's Old Bridge to march to the Autonomous Administration building where the march was followed by a rally. The statement read out by Secretary-General of the Syria Future Party, Siham Dawud, said that the fundamental cause of the Syrian crisis was the Damascus government's authoritarian mentality.
The statement continued: "The Autonomous Administration is the only project which will resolve the Syrian problem correctly. The people of North and East Syria and the political parties overcame the crisis by establishing co-existence and stayed away from ethnic conflicts. They have expelled radical groups such as ISIS from the region through the establishment of unified civil, military and political administrations. This has become a hope for Syria as a whole. The Autonomous Administration Project was the foundation of a solution to Syria's turmoil."
The International Community, the International Coalition, the UN Security Council and all governments involved in the Syrian crisis were urged to recognize the Autonomous Government as the representative of the Syrian people’s hope.
It was also noted that the Autonomous Administration has refused every attempt at dividing Syria.
The statement added, "We are represented by the Autonomous Administration, which should be the interlocutor for a solution to the crisis in Syria. Without representatives of the Syrian people, the Syrian issue cannot be resolved.”
