People's Council of Girê Spî appeals to international community

The People's Council of Girê Spî calls on the international community to take a stand on the Turkish attacks on the civilian population in northern and eastern Syria.

The People's Council of Girê Spî appealed to the international community because of the increasing Turkish attacks on Ain Issa. Salih al-Hadji from the Education Committee of the People's Council explained in Ain Issa on Monday that the attacks on the self-administered villages in the west of the canton of Girê Spî (Tal Abyad), which is mostly occupied by Turkey, and in the east of Ain Issa had increased. Al-Hadji described the systematic nature of these attacks on civilians and called on the international community and the Arab League to take a stand against them.

On Sunday, a civilian was killed in attacks by the Turkish army and Islamist proxy forces on Ain Issa in northern Syria. The victim is Muheydîn Hec Ehmed Îbrahîm. The 35-year-old was in his vehicle on the M4 road when he was shot at. Although he was immediately taken to the Şehîd Omer Elûş Hospital, he could not be saved. The shelling of the region continued on Monday. On Tuesday night, the Shehba region was shelled by Turkish troops.
