The 10th Congress of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) continued on its second day in the city of Hesekê with the slogan "Together for the physical freedom of Leader Apo, the strengthening of the Autonomous Administration and the construction of a democratic Syria."
The congress was attended by 700 delegates from the party.
On the second day of the congress, the reports of the General Assembly, the Women's Assembly and the Disciplinary Committee were read. Then, the political situation of Leader Abdullah Öcalan was evaluated.
The political program and party constitution were renewed at the congress. Most of the articles were changed, renamed and new articles were added. The number of members of the PYD General Assembly, which was 145, was reduced to 90.
Perwin Yûsif and Xerîb Hiso were elected as PYD co-chairs, replacing Salih Muslim and Asya Abdullah.
