The invading Turkish state and its mercenaries continue their attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria. The international community, on the other hand, remains silent about these attacks. The Turkish state is bombing Ain Issa and Shehba on a daily basis. The last target of the Turkish army was the house where Abdullah Ocalan was staying when he crossed into Rojava, in 1979.
Although the Turkish state signed a ceasefire agreement with Russia and the US, it continues to carry out attacks. North and East Syrian politicians condemn the Turkish state's attacks and call for the international community to fulfil its responsibilities.
PYD Executive Committee member Bêrivan Hesen said that the Turkish state attacked the village of Elpelur because it is afraid of Abdullah Öcalan's thoughts and added: “Öcalan was taken prisoner 22 years ago as a result of an international conspiracy. He has been fighting under heavy isolation for years. The Turkish state violates all international laws with the isolation it implements and the attacks it carries out. However, despite this, international organizations remain silent.”
Pointing out that international governments should take a serious stance against the crimes committed by the Turkish state, Bêrivan said: “The international community sees the crimes carried out by the Turkish state. The international community remains silent and supports these crimes. We want this attitude to end."
