A large part of the Raqqa city was destroyed during the struggle for liberation from the ISIS. The city council of Raqqa has been trying to rebuild the infrastructure since the liberation. Meanwhile, the repair of five bridges in the city has been completed and the roads between the bridges of Cezra and Reşîd are being repaired.

The environmental committee of Raqqa is currently working to restore the green spaces and parks of the East Syrian city. Before the Eid al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan, the administration has started a clean-up campaign, while the regulatory agencies control the markets on undue prices and quality.
