Refugees from Afrin, Shehba, Nubil and Zehraa placed in temporary accommodation in Tabqa

The refugees from Afrin, Shehba, Nubil and Zehraa who arrived in the Tabqa Canton were placed in temporary accommodation by the Autonomous Administration and given first aid.

The first group of refugees from Afrin and Shehba, as well as the villages of Nubil and Zehraa, reached the Tabqa Canton in Northern and Eastern Syria late on Monday night.

The group of refugees was welcomed by the co-chairs of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, Hisên Osman and Evîn Siwêd, the co-chairs of the Autonomous Administration Boards, doctors, ambulances and representatives of service institutions at the Boasi border gate of the Tabqa Canton.

The refugees were placed in the temporary accommodation prepared by the Autonomous Administration and were provided with food, drink and medicine. Their numbers and information were recorded.

The displaced people are currently being temporarily placed in the Sports City Camp, the Autonomous Administration buildings in the city and schools until a suitable location is prepared.

The images clearly show the plight of refugees who were left on the road overnight, because the roads were blocked by the Turkish army and its gangs.

The displacement from the Afrin-Shehba Canton in groups continues. Among the refugees, whose numbers exceed 200,000, are those from the villages of Nubil and Zehraa, as well as the neighborhoods of Aleppo and Sifîrê.

This is the second time that the people of Afrin have been displaced. The first time was in 2018, following the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish state and its mercenaries.
