Refugees in Raqqa experiencing difficulties for lack of supplies

Thousands of people were forced to leave their house because of the war.

Thousands of Syrians from the cities of Tedmur, Homs and Hama had to migrate to the western countryside of Aleppo because of the war.

In the tents camp set up near Raqqa's Yarub hamlet a thousand people, mostly women and children, are living under harsh conditions.

Refugees are suffering great difficulties and shortages of almost everything from food and water which cause serious problems as diseases spread because of the hot weather.

Ehmed al-Salim said: "Our houses were destroyed during the war between the Syrian regime forces and mercenary groups. We had to migrate to areas liberated by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and we managed to put up tents here as it is closer to the water”.

"Our children need new clothes, but we can not get them, our supplies have been reduced. - said al-Salim - We call on international organisations to turn their eyes on us”.
