Refugees living in the Rûbar refugee camp are stricken with fear due to the Turkish state's bombardments of the surrounding and are forced to leave their tents.
The night before, the Turkish army fired 30 mortar shells at the Rubar Refugee Camp, forcing the refugees to flee their tents and take cover in the homes of locals in the village of Basile in Efrîn Canton’s Sherawa district.
A refugee who spoke to ANHA, asking to remain anonymous said: "We want safety, what does Turkey want from us? We fled from the terror of the gangs and left our homes behind, wherever we go we are under bombardment, enough of fear, what are our children guilty of to become refugees, how much longer will this continue?"
A woman with the name Ayîşe Ehmed stated that the camp and its surrounding are subject to attacks for the 4th time, summarizing the situation they are being through as follows: "Each time we are in the grip of fear and run for it, and we are fleeing into the homes of the inhabitants of the villagers. I have a nine-year-old daughter who becomes fear-stricken whenever she hears the sound of the shelling."
10-year-old Heyat Omer said: "We were sleeping inside of our tents, on hearing the sound of the explosions I fled barefoot together with my baby brothers and we went into hiding."
It is worth mentioning that the Turkish army has targeted the Rubar Refugee Camp for the fourth time, forcing the refugees to secure themselves in nearby villages or shelters made of bricks.
