Ehmed El Casim, Deir ez-Zor Internal Security Forces Board member, said that regional forces and gang groups are trying to disrupt the security of Deir ez-Zor and the democratic nation project.
Last year, many terrorist attacks were carried out by the sleeper cells of ISIS, which received the support of the Turkish state and regional powers in the Deir ez-Zor region. The gangs especially targeted opinion leaders and employees of Autonomous Administration institutions in the region. The main purpose of the gangs was to destroy the democratic nation and the Autonomous Administration system.
Deir ez-Zor Internal Security Forces Board member Ehmed El Casim pointed out that the security of Deir ez-Zor security is a complex issue, but the Internal Security Forces took the necessary measures to maintain security.
"DEMOCRATIC NATION PROJECT TARGETED"
Stating that there was instability regarding some issues, especially security, El Casim said, "The aim of the assassinations of opinion leaders in the region and members of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council is to keep the peoples of the region and tribes away from cooperating with the Autonomous Administration and to destroy the democratic nation project."
"INTERNAL SECURITY HAS TAKEN AN ARRAY OF MEASURES"
“Various measures have been taken to ensure security. Checkpoints are activated. Many security campaigns were conducted, and many members of sleeper cells were arrested in Deir ez-Zor", El Casim said.
El Casim pointed out that many regional powers, especially the occupying Turkish state, are trying to destroy the democratic nation project in the region.
“It has been 3 years since the liberation of the region. the Civil Administration is adopting new methods to improve the service activities and living conditions in the region”, he added.
