Revolutionary Communard Party pays tribute to Ceren Güneş

The Revolutionary Communard Party issued a written statement on the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Ceren Güneş (Özge Aydın), a member of the Revolutionary Communar Party / Birlik MK.

The statement said: "We pay tribute to Comrade Ceren on the first anniversary of her martyrdom, reached while fighting with the invading Turkish Armed Forces on the Serêkaniyê-Til Temir front line. Comrade Ceren was a revolutionary who continued to search for truth while acting.”

The statement pointed out that Güneş was born as the child of a working family in Muğla, and emphasized that "she grew up working with her family in fields, olive groves and vineyards from a very young age".

Güneş joined the battle for Manbij and served as a commander in the International Freedom Battalion (IFB) in the Raqqa battle. On the Raqqa front, "she commanded the fiercest battles with great courage as ISIS attacked three times to bring down the IFB headquarters."
