Revolutionary Youth Movement organizes 3-day march against isolation and occupation

The Revolutionary Youth Movement in North-East Syria will organize a three-day march, starting in Qamishlo on May 16, to condemn the isolation imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and Turkey’s attacks on Medya Defense Zones.

The Turkish state launched a wave of occupation attacks on Zap, Avashin and Metina regions of Medya Defense Zones on April 23. According to the statement released by HPG (Peoples’ Defense Forces), the Turkish state has resorted to chemical weapons 9 times up to now. The Revolutionary Youth Movement in North-East Syria declared mobilization on May 11 to support the guerrilla’s Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Offensive launched against the attacks of the occupant Turkish state.

Hogir Elî, member of the Revolutionary Youth Movement in North-East Syria, spoke to ANHA on the issue.

‘TURKISH STATE USES USA WEAPONS’

Elî stated that the youth declared mobilization to support the guerrilla forces in order to denounce the attacks of the occupant Turkish state, saying, “These attacks are carried out with the approval of the USA and Russia. The Turkish army uses weapons of USA origin in the attacks.”

Remarking that that the Turkish state directly targets the existence of the Kurdish people, Eli continued, “The Turkish state has threatened Kurds with slaughter many times. However, all of its plans have entirely failed as a result of the guerrilla resistance on Gare mountains.”
