The 5th anniversary of the July 19 Revolution was celebrated in a mass march by thousands from the peoples in Qamishlo city of the Cizîrê Canton, with slogans as "The Rojava Revolution is the revolution of dignity and freedom". Thousands of people started to march, carrying posters of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and banners saluting the resistance and revolution.

In the rally which followed, Qamishlo City Council Co-chair Feyrûşah Remezan held a speech and noted that preparations have been completed for the anniversary of the July 19 Revolution. Remazan said: "19 July Revolution is a very meaningful and important day for all the peoples of Syria, and marks the huge defeat inflicted on the enemies of humanity."

The meeting ended later with slogans as "Long Live Leader Apo" and "There Is No Life Without Öcalan".
