The offensive "Cizirê Storm" against the last ISIS structures in northeastern Syria continues. In a 24-hour report, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Office said their fighters have made further advances against the so-called Islamic State, allowing SDF units to take control over further positions of the terrorist militia. SDF also seized a variety of weapons and ammunition.
The SDF also reported ISIS attacks with heavy weapons and explosive vehicles. According to the statement, all attacks were repelled. While at least 71 Islamist terrorists were killed in the fighting, no losses were recorded in SDF ranks. A few SDF fighters were injured in the clashes and they are treated in surrounding hospitals. Clearance works are already taking place in the liberated areas.
The press release said SDF fighters seized an RPG rocket launcher, three mortar guns, a variety of mortar shells, an AK-47 machine gun and a laptop belonging to the terrorists.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, 74 ISIS points have been destroyed and ten militia supply routes were cut off.
The SDF also reported eight bomb-laden cars, two DShK positions, three heavy weaponry positions and six tunnels of the ISIS were destroyed.
The international Coalition carried out a total of 104 air strikes.
