Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their operation to finish off ISIS in Northern Syria in the ‘Battle Defeat Terrorism’ phase of the Operation Cizire Storm.

Ednan Efrîn, a commander for the Syrian Democratic Forces, spoke to ANF and stated that they started an operation against the remaining ISIS elements in Baghouz after the evacuation of civilians.

The commander added that the rescued civilians have been transferred to safe areas under their control.

Efrîn did not mention a specific time as to when the operation would end, stressing that the area is full of mines and tunnels of ISIS mercenaries.

Another SDF commander Mazlum Ebdî told Reuters that the operation could be completed within a week.
