As the Turkish army has been trying hard to enter Serêkaniyê for days but is still unable to break through the resistance, ISIS sleeper cells in the region are attempting to infiltrate into the villages surrounding the Ayn Issa town.

SDF fighters are not allowing the advance of the Turkish troops that try to take the international highway that connects the Euphrates and Cizire regions in North-East Syria.

SDF Commander Cegewera Zirîk, who is coordinating the battle on the international highway, denounced that the Turkish state seeks to destroy the traces of Rojava civilization by targeting the historical and religious structures in the region.

Zirîk pointed out that the Turkish state has set ISIS mercenaries in motion because of its failure to take control of the international highway. He stressed that the Turkish state will not achieve its goal, no matter what it costs.

Remarking that SDF are inflicting heavy blows against the occupation forces, the SDF Commander added that the international highway is under SDF control.
