The last phase of the Operation Cizire Storm against the last of the areas invaded by gangs to the east of the Euphrates River continues with effective operations. SDF Commander Shêrko Hesekê from the operation stated that the battles have advanced with effective operations.
Shêrko Hesekê said the forces implementing the operation to liberate the Al Baxûz village will advance to the Al Sawiya village next, which is the last village before the Hajin town. Shêrko Hesekê said they aim to rid the region of terrorism as soon as possible and added that the operation continues on a new branch.
Shêrko Hesekê said the gangs have been surrounded in the villages and are being dealt effective blows, as they attempt to stop the advance of the SDF with mortars and the landmines they lay.
Shêrko Hesekê said the liberation of civilians subjected to barbaric ISIS practices is their priority goal and added: “We have opened several security corridors for the safety of civilians. We are sending the rescued civilians to camps until their lands are liberated.”
