The invading forces' attacks against villages near Ain Issa and the strategically important M4 highway in northern Syria continue. In the last two days, the occupying forces have attacked positions of the Syrian regime in the villages of Erîda, Fatisa and Sefewiyê near Ain Issa. The Russian military police stationed in the region tolerate the attacks, in which five Syrian regime soldiers were injured and two vehicles destroyed in Fatisa and Sefewiyê.
SDF return fire
These villages have been bombarded dozens of times with artillery fire in the past two days. Fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) exercised their right to self-defence to protect the people and their property.
Turkey draws more troops together
SDF Commander Qehreman Xebat is fighting in Sefewiyê. He spoke to the ANHA news agency and said that Turkey continues to pull together invading troops along the M4 highway, securing the occupied villages, raising military positions around them and stationing more armoured vehicles. However, he said that resistance would be mounted against any attack.
"Russia remains silent"
"The Turkish state violates all agreements and continues its attacks. In front of the eyes of the Russian military police, positions of Syrian soldiers are fired upon. But Russia remains silent," Xebat said.
