The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement announcing that the news put into circulation by the Defence Ministry of Turkey are groundless and untrue.

The SDF statement said: “On March 4th, 5th, and 7th, statements were published by the Defence Ministry of Turkey in respect to the areas of Operation Euphrates Shield. These reports which claim that 7 of our fighters were martyred and a booby-trapped vehicle was destroyed, are groundless and do not reflect the truth. Through these reports, the Turkish state and army try to give legitimacy to their attacks on the region. Our people and the public opinion should not heed these allegations.”
