SDF denied Turkish reports of attacks on occupation soldiers in northern Syria, stating that there have been no attacks on the invading forces that could be used to justify "retaliatory attacks".
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) rejected Turkey's claims of attacks from the north-eastern Syrian autonomous region on Turkish bases in the occupied zone, in which four soldiers are said to have been injured.
“Over the last three days, the Turkish occupation has launched heavy weapons, artillery, and tank attacks on the Shehba region and Manbij countryside. These indiscriminate attacks have primarily targeted civilian homes. Although there have been no reports of civilian casualties, the attacks have caused substantial destruction to civilian areas and properties,” said the SDF statement on Monday evening.
SDF stated: “The Turkish defense minister has claimed that on April 16, the People’s Defense Units (YPG) attacked their military posts in northern Aleppo, injuring four soldiers. These claims are false, and the Turkish occupation army’s assertions that they killed ten of our fighters are also untrue. We have not suffered any casualties from the Turkish occupation army’s attacks over the last three days.”
