A fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has died of a heart attack at the age of only 28. According to a statement by the SDF, Abdul Majid Ehmad al-Assad collapsed at his deployment site at a checkpoint in Hesekê on Saturday and later died. In this struggle for security and stability in the region, our forces are not shying away from anyone. They rely first and foremost on their own strength. Abdul Majid Ehmad al-Assad was one of them and has now joined the caravan of martyrs. We offer our condolences to the families of all the martyrs, especially the family of our comrade Majed. We reaffirm our pledge to continue the struggle until we achieve the goal of creating a secure and peaceful country."
