A car exploded in the south of Kobanê at 10.30 am local time. According to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the cause of the explosion was a Turkish drone attack, killing one fighter.
For years, Turkey has been using drones for extralegal killings in the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria. The attacks are directed against representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) structures, members of combat units and the civilian population. Since the beginning of the year, Turkey has carried out at least twelve drone attacks in northern Syria. Last year, Turkey carried out at least 130 drone attacks, killing 87 people and injuring 151 others.
On Monday evening, three children were killed in artillery attacks by the Turkish army near Til Temir, and two others were injured, some seriously.
