As part of its regular meetings with the military councils in the North and Eastern Syria Region, the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) General Command held a series of meetings with the al-Jazeira Region Command and its Military Councils of Tal Tamir, Amuda, Syriac Military Council and al-Khabour Guard Forces.
The SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi presided over the meetings, joined by members of the SDF General Command, Mahmoud Barkhwadan, Delbrin Kobani, and Akheen Afrin, and commanders of the aforementioned Military Councils.
Abdi began by assessing the overall political and military situation in the region. He highlighted the significant challenges facing the North and Eastern Syria Region, particularly due to the escalating attacks by the Turkish occupation state. He also emphasized the ongoing fight against the terrorist organization of ISIS and called for continued efforts to maintain regional security and stability.
Abdi asserted that the regime’s divisive tactics have failed in the face of the resistance of SDF forces and the unity of the region’s people.
The SDF General Command focused on military and organizational matters during the meetings. They discussed preparations to counter attacks on the North and Eastern Syria Region and assessed the performance of the regional military councils. The General Command urged the councils to address shortcomings through scientific and organized methods, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a high level of discipline and organization within the military councils. The General Command called on all councils to adhere to the rules, regulations, and laws of the Syrian Democratic Forces, to continue training fighters, and to apply their knowledge in practical situations.
The commanders of the Military Councils presented reports on their activities and preparations and assured the General Command of their readiness to meet the challenges of the current situation. They pledged their continued dedication to protecting the region’s people, maintaining security and stability, and responding to attacks. They also emphasized the importance of preserving societal unity effectively organizing their ranks and communicating with the people.
At the end of the meetings, the commanders of the military councils pledged to strengthen the front lines, respond to all violations and aggressions by the Turkish occupation on the battlefronts, and prosecute all those who seek to destabilize security and stability in the region.
