The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in a statement that they successfully carried out a new anti-ISIS operation in Markada, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The statement said: "Our SDF Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) successfully eliminated one of the ISIS terrorists’ operatives during a security operation in Markada, eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor."

The statement added: "The eliminated terrorist was involved in carrying out assassinations targeting military and security forces and innocent civilians in the region.

Based on precise intelligence, our YAT forces raided where he was hiding. Ignoring the call for safe surrender, the terrorist adamantly resisted our forces, who handled the situation with utmost professionalism and eliminated him."

The statement said that the following items were confiscated in the operation:
"-Smartphones /3/

-Ak-47 rifle /1/

-Turkish-made rifle/1/

-Night vision binoculars /1/

-Wi-Fi router /1/

-Ammunitions

Our SDF forces continue the Anti-ISIS operations to maintain security and stability in the NE Syria Region."
