The Syrian Democratic Forces said that the village of Hewayic in Ziban, has been completely cleared of gangs.

In a written statement, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center said that the village of Hewayic in Ziban, in the east of Deir ez-Zor, has been completely cleared of gangs.

The statement said that 4 gang members from the Difa al Watani group were captured during the operation.

The SDF has been carrying out the "Security Reinforcement Operation" against ISIS gangs and drug dealers in the Deir ez-Zor region since 27 August.
