The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement on the attacks by the Turkish army and its jihadist proxy troops on northern Syria between 29th January and 5th February. According to a statement by SDF Press Centre released today, the attacks continue without interruption and are aimed at expanding the Turkish occupation zone.
Regarding the details, the SDF said that on January 29, a civilian was injured in an attack on the M4 highway near Girê Spî (Tal Abyad).
On February 3, an attack was carried out on SDF positions in the village of Xirbit Kerem near Ain Issa. The SDF retaliated the attack and fierce fighting ensued. Five jihadists were killed and a vehicle of the proxy troops was destroyed. The SDF seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition.
On the same day, two SDF fighters lost their lives in attacks by the invading forces in the vicinity of Ain Issa Camp. Two other SDF fighters were injured in attacks on villages near Ain Issa.
The villages near Til Temir are under constant attack, said the SDF and stated that reinforcement troops were transferred to the villages of Depsa, Bagera, Amriyê and Girê Şehit Dilşêr on 3 February. Heavy weapons were stationed in the mentioned villages.
