The SDF released 33 detainees who were not involved in the killings of Syrians in Deir ez-Zor.
Responding to the call of opinion leaders and notables of the tribes in Deir ez-Zor, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) decided to release 33 detainees who did not have a hand in the killing of Syrians.
The SDF handed over the detainees from Deir ez-Zor to their families, with the participation of the notables of the tribes and the opinion leaders of the region, and ensured the return of those who were not from Northern and Eastern Syria.
Speaking to ANHA, Cemîl El Hefel, the notable of the Igêdat tribe, said: "We thank the Autonomous Administration for taking this step."
El Hefel said that responding positively to the call of the opinion leaders of the region showed that there is a strong relationship of trust between the military forces and the opinion leaders of the region.
The opinion leader of the Igêdat tribe, Necim El Necris, thanked the SDF for the defense of the region and said: “The opinion leaders of the region have a great responsibility because they represent society. For this reason, they should support the military forces to ensure security and stability."
The SDF previously released some detainees with the help of opinion leaders from Northern and Eastern Syria.
