The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the details of the attacks by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries in North-East Syria.
The SDF statemement on Tuesday includes the following:
“On Monday, the Turkish occupation mercenaries launched multiple attacks on our force’s positions near the Qara Qwzak Bridge. However, all attempts were successfully repelled by our fighters.
Intense, indiscriminate bombardment with heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortar shells, on the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’dah, Bir Hissou, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, Qalheeda, and Al-San’a, as well as the Seifi Hill and Qara Qwzaq Hill near the Qara Qwzaq Bridge. More than 60 shells were fired, causing significant material damage to civilian homes and properties. Under the cover of this relentless shelling, the mercenaries launched an attack on our positions. However, our fighters confronted them, leading to intense clashes in which several mercenaries were eliminated, and three were confirmed wounded.
Additionally, our Martyr Haroun Units participated in repelling the attack, successfully striking a heavily armored military vehicle. Meanwhile, our fighters thwarted a second attack on a different axis near the bridge, inflicting additional casualties on the mercenaries. However, the exact number of eliminated and wounded mercenaries remains unconfirmed.
On the Ain Issa front, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries bombarded, with heavy artillery, the village of Abu Sura, west of the town causing further damage to civilian homes and property. Additionally, Turkish occupation UCAVs patrolled the skies over the town and its surrounding countryside throughout the day.
Turkish occupation UCAVs activity was also reported over the city of Kobani and its outskirts.”
