Fierce clashes are ongoing between Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and ISIS in Hajin region of Deir ez-Zor where SDF’s Operation Cizire Storm to end terror continues. SDF has been leading an operation to liberate the ISIS-held Hajin town to the northeast of the Euphrates River since September 10.
SDF fighters are opening more corridors to rescue the civilians stranded in clashes area.
SDF fighters rescued some 700 civilians, mostly women and children, from ISIS gangs yesterday evening as part of the Operation Cizire Storm.
The rescued civilians have been sent to safe areas.
Thousands of civilians have been rescued from ISIS since the launch of the operation for Hajin on September 10th.
In a balance sheet published on December 15, SDF Press Office announced that 3,126 civilians used by ISIS as shields had been rescued and transferred to safe areas.
