In a written statement about the Turkish state's drone attack on Kobanê, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that it was not a coincidence that the Kobanê attack coincided with the successful operation they carried out against ISIS, and pointed out that the Turkish state is uncomfortable with the blows inflicted on ISIS.
The SDF made the following statement:
"An important successful operation was carried out recently within the scope of the fight against ISIS. The operation saw the participation of Special Operations Forces. The region and the world were saved from a great danger. Our forces, which continued their fight against ISIS, foiled the attack planned by ISIS on a prison in Hesekê. The gangs who planned the attack were caught after a meticulous investigation and put in prison.
Mihemed Ebd Elewad, an ISIS emir, was among those captured. Elewad was responsible for many massacres in the region. Elawad, planned to attack the prison in Hesekê but was caught by our forces, and no longer has the freedom to commit crimes.
We congratulate our forces who caught these mercenaries who were trying to shed blood on Christmas Day, and present their success to the peoples of the world.
When we achieved a great victory against ISIS, the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries attacked our people in Kobanê. We suffered martyrs and wounded. We express our condolences to the families of our martyrs and hope that the injured recover quickly. We will always continue to protect our people against the Turkish state, which is clearly disturbed by the successes achieved against ISIS, and we will hold the killers accountable."
