SDF announced that 24 fighters captured by ISIS have been rescued and said: “Efforts to rescue civilians from the last area ISIS holds in Baghouz continue. Our forces have paused direct fighting against terrorism for moral reasons and to ensure safety for civilians in their efforts to keep civilians away from danger.

Our forces have rescued thousands of civilians as well as our fighters who had been abducted by terrorists. With the security corridor we formed, we have rescued 24 of our fighters from the terrorists.”
