Self-Defense Forces members Mislet and Sedûn laid to rest in Amude

Self-Defense Forces members Îbrahim Mislet and Subah Sedûn were laid to rest with a ceremony held in Amude.

Self-Defense Forces members Îbrahim Mislet and Subah Sedûn, who fell as martyrs in the Turkish state's drone attack on the village of Xerbî Xoyî in Amûdê on 28 July, were buried at the Martyr Îsmaîl Martyrdom in Amude with a ceremony.

Thousands of people from the districts, towns and villages of the Qamishlo Canton, as well as representatives of military, political and civil institutions in the Cizre region attended the ceremony.

Ebdulbasit Eli, a member of the Amude Martyrs' Families Council, drew attention to the attacks of the Turkish state against the peoples of the region and said: "What was the crime of this child, for what crime our people are being killed by these inhuman attacks? Our people gave thousands of martyrs and did not bow down. They want us to abandon our martyrs. Raise your weapons against the attacks of the invading Turkish state in order to avenge the martyrs and protect our regions.”

‘No power can break our will’

Mihemed Seîd Ferzo, a commander of the Amude Military Council, expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and said: "The people of the resistance, who are fighting against the strongest army of NATO have not bowed to anyone until now. Believe me, the victory will be ours. You are the protector of thousands of martyrs and their rights. No force can break your will.”

Calling on the people of the region, Ferzo asked them not to be fooled by special methods of warfare and to protect their military forces.

After the speeches, the martyrs were bid farewell to their last journey.
