The Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Kurdish Democratic Party of Syria (PDKS) continue their activities to mark the anniversary of the 19 July Rojava Revolution.

The two parties have organised a seminar in Kobane on the importance of the 19 July Revolution.

The seminar took place at the Baqi Xido Culture and Art Center with the participation of members of Democratic Autonomous Administration and civil institutions and dozens of citizens.

The seminar was given by Dîlber Yusif, member of PYD Central Committee, and Nihad Ehmed, member of PDKS Central Committee.

Dilber Yusif said that the 19 July Revolution was a step towards a free life, towards removing the ruling state mentality, and organising the society in all areas.

Yusif remarked that the Turkish state has been carrying out genocidal policies against the Kurdish people, identifying the Kurds as enemies in order to create a crisis among the peoples. She recalled the Kurdish People Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s words that the real revolution was the revolution of the peoples and this was the only power against the sovereign states.

Yusif stated that the main fear of the dictatorial states is the unity and free will of the peoples. She said this fear is the reason why they attacked the territory of Rojava, attempting to destroy the Democratic Nation project.

Ending her speech, Dilber Yusif said: "We will overcome future obstacles together”.

Nihad Ehmed spoke afterwards and said; “We have achieved many gains and expelled the Baath regime mentality that had usurped all our institutions in the region”.

Ehmed stated that the Democratic Nation marked the beginning of a new era with the liberation of the Northern Syrian territories from ISIS mercenaries.

Ending his speech, Nihad Ehmed called on people to “protect the achievements won with the blood of martyrs”.
