Sheikh Hesen urges Turkey to respect neighborhood relations

Kobanê Canton Defense Council President İsmet Sheikh Hesen stated that canton forces can respond to Turkey’s attacks but act within the framework of respect to neighborhood relations.

Kobanê Canton Defense Council President İsmet Sheikh Hesen spoke to ANHA on the attack the Turkish army and its affiliate gangs carried out on Self-Defense Forces’ positions in Şiyûxa town yesterday. Sheikh Hesen stated that canton forces can respond to Turkey’s attacks but tolerate this attacks as they act within the framework of respect to neighborhood relations.

Sheikh Hesen pointed out that the Turkish state is employing different methods and attacking Kobanê’s villages and positions of Self-Defense Forces in order to break the will of Kurdish people and thus aims to decrease the lessen on the ISIS gangs that suffer a heavy blow in the hands of Syrian Democratic Forces in Tabqa.

Sheikh Hesen called upon the Turkish government to stop its illegal and immoral attacks and respect neighborhood relations. Stressing that Turkey should avoid creating a conflict between Turkish and Kurdish peoples, Hesen said Turkey could end up in a civil war like Syria if it continued to act like this.

Kobanê Canton Defense Council President İsmet Sheikh Hesen said “The Turkish state should know that Kobanê Canton’s forces can respond to the attacks, which would, however, result in unfavorable consequences for Turkey.”
