In the city of al-Bab, the gang groups banded together by the Turkish state under the name of “Euphrates Shield” kidnapped six civilians, including a child, from the village of Sheikh Nasir. The civilians from the village of Qert Weran east of al-Bab, were reportedly abducted while working in olive groves on 19 December.
Those kidnapped were named as Abdulkarim al-Abud, Ali al-Jasim al-Abud, Mohammed Ali al-Abud, Mahmoud al-Mele, Alaa al-Mohammed al-Abud and Hamuda Ahmed al-Ali (11).
"The kidnapped were handed over to Turkish soldiers"
Abdulbasit Ramadan from the village of Qert Wêran says that: "The villagers went to the groves as usual and collected olives. But this time, Euphrates Shield militia came and took them away.”
Ramadan reports that the Pro-Turkish mercenaries handed over the kidnapped people to the Turkish army. "We haven't heard from them for days."
Ramadan tells: "I live here on my land. They are the occupiers. They kidnap us and take us to the bases of the occupying forces. Have they no decency?"
Ramadan recalls that last year the occupying troops had kidnapped 35 people in the village of Kawiklî during the olive harvest. These were later freed by the military council of al-Bab.
