Fierce clashes continue in rural Afrin between gunmen from Rif Dimashq and Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement, leaving casualties.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported the death of a person and injury of eight others, including civilians and military personnel, as a result of the ongoing clashes between gunmen from Rif Dimashq and members of Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement in Jindires district in rural Afrin. According to SOHR sources, columns of the military police headed from Afrin city to Jindires in order to put an end to this armed fight.
SOHR sources reported earlier today violent clashes in Jindires district in rural Afrin in north-western Aleppo, between Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and gunmen from Rif Dimashq. These clashes followed the arrest of a displaced man from Zamalka in Rif Dimashq after dispute over the possession of the house the displaced man lives in.
SOHR reported that the clashes have coincided with growing popular anger over the armed fights in the region, while dignitaries and military commanders were attempting to break up the clashes and defuse the disagreement.
Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored Turkish-backed factions amassing their affiliated members in Jindires district in the western countryside of Afrin, after Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement had arrested a person from Rif Dimashq following a conflict over possession of a house he was living in. SOHR noted that this house belonged to a family displaced from Jindires.
