Turkish-backed factions loot farming equipment and prevent farmers from cultivating their land in villages near frontlines with SDF in Heseke, SOHR reports.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that Turkish-backed factions have prevented farmers from plowing and cultivating their farmlands in villages located on the frontlines between them and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), including the villages of Al-Mahmoudiyyah, Aniq Al-Hawa, Al-Qasimiyyah and Al-Rayhaniyyah, near Tal Tamr area in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah.
According to SOHR sources, Turkish-backed factions have looted farming equipment in farmlands belonging to the farmers on these frontlines under the pretext of “suspension of farming and cultivation in the region”.
On October 21, SOHR sources said that Turkish forces and proxy factions stormed the village of Rihaniyah in Ras al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) countryside in the “Peace Spring” area in Heseke governorate, and opened fire on cars in the village’s surrounding areas, while searching for suspects.
