The “Shohadaa Badr” battalion smuggle people into Turkey, trade and promote drugs amid a lack of accountability, SOHR reports.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that an armed group of the “Shohadaa Badr” faction, operating under the banner of the Turkish-backed “National Army,” raided the house of a civilian in Al-Azizah village in Serekaniye (ar: Ras al-Ain) countryside. The cause of the raid was the group’s disagreement with the civilian over smuggling him and his family to Turkey.
According to the Observatory, the armed group stormed the man’s house and shot him in front of his family after violating his house and insulting the man’s wife. The man was treated at Serekaniye hospital after being shot in the foot.
SOHR reported that the “Shohadaa Badr” battalion of the “National Army” deployed in the “Peace Spring” area is smuggling people into Turkey, as well as from and to the areas controlled by the SDF for money and trading and promoting drugs, without any deterrent.
