SOHR:Turkish military columns withdraw from posts in regime areas

Turkish military columns withdraw from posts in regime-controlled areas in Idlib, Hama and Aleppo, SOHR says.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported seeing tens of trucks leaving Turkish posts in regime-controlled areas in Idlib, Hama and Aleppo countryside, heading to rebel-held areas. Nearly 140 vehicles, including trucks carrying cement blocks, were seen leaving the Turkish observation post in the western countryside of Aleppo, between Sheikh Oqail and Qabban Al-Jabal towards Al-Atareb.

SOHR also reported that a large Turkish column has withdrawn from the military post in “Maar Hattat” in regime-controlled areas, and headed to Taftnaz military airbase where Turkish forces are stationed.

Moreover, SOHR sources have confirmed that Turkish forces evacuated “Maar Hattat” post completely, as all forces used to be stationed there withdrew in the past few hours.

“These successive withdrawals come as a part of fulfilling Russian-Turkish agreements stipulate for the withdrawal of Turkish forces from areas captured recently by Russia and regime forces in Aleppo, Idlib and Hama,” the observatory said.

Last night, SOHR reported that the Turkish forces withdrew almost completely from their observation post in Shir Mghar in Jabal Shashaboo, north-western Hama. Turkish forces were expected to empty the entire post in the following few hours. A few hours earlier, tens of Turkish trucks carrying logistical supplies were seen heading from Shir Mghar observation post to rural Idlib.

SOHR sources reported in early November complete evacuation of the ninth Turkish observation post in Morek, while the Syrian regime’s flag was raised at the post.
