The northern Syrian city of Qamishlo was struck by a suicide attack Sunday afternoon.

According to Internal Security Forces sources, a suicide bomber in his 20s blew himself up in the Hêlko neighborhood.

While the assailant died, the explosion caused material damage in the surrounding area.
