Swedish delegation visits Northern and Eastern Syria

A Swedish delegation, which included Ambassador Frederic Florn, visited the Northern and Eastern Syria Foreign Relations Office.

A Swedish delegation, which included Ambassador Frederic Florn, visited the Northern and Eastern Syria Foreign Relations Office. The delegation was welcomed by co-chair and Jazira Women's Committee deputy-chair Sebah Şabo.

During the meeting, the political developments in the region and the implementation of UN resolution 2254 for the solution of the Syrian crisis were evaluated. The meeting drew attention to the damage caused by the ongoing attacks carried out by the Turkish state to the stability environment in the region, but also on the difficulties experienced by refugees in the camps.

The danger posed by Hol Camp was highlighted at the meeting. The camp, in fact is experiencing a resurgence of threats posed by ISIS.

In his speech at the meeting, Ambassador Frederic Florn said that he supports the struggle of the peoples and that they will do their best to achieve a political solution in Syria.

At the end of the meeting, some official documents regarding the families of ISIS were signed and delivered to the Swedish delegation.
