Syriac Bishop: Our prayers for our fighters
Bishop Moris Hamsih said they prayed for the fighters who have been resisting against invasion and those who have fallen as martyrs in this struggle.
Syriac Bishop for Cizire and Euphrates Region, Moris Hamsih, attending the ceremony at Marisyal Hâkim Church in Dirbesiyê, spoke to ANF. Condemning the invasion campaign of the Turkish state and ally militias, he remembered Armenian Catholic Church Priest Hovsep Bedoyan who was recently murdered by the occupation forces.
The Bishop said that they prayed for the invaders to leave these lands, adding; “I pray also for our martyrs who fell putting up a brave fight against the Turkish army and allied mercenaries.”
He stressed that united people would triumph.
Metran Hamsih recalled that Armenian Catholic Church Priest Hovsep Bedoyan was striving to help the displaced people in Deir ez-Zor, adding; “He and his father were stopped and murdered by DAESH (ISIS). He was a bighearted Father who wanted peace and goodness for everyone and the world.”
