As reported by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) press center, a local Islamic State commander was arrested in the al-Karamah district east of Raqqa in Syria.
The operation took place with the support of the international anti-ISIS coalition air surveillance.
Among other things, the Islamic State commander was responsible for distributing weapons and explosives to the ISIS cells in the various areas in and around Raqqa.
He had previously worked in the ISIS "security service". The arrest was made after a long observation. Weapons, equipment and documents were secured from the mercenary.
