Thousands of people continue migrating from Deir ez-Zor, Bukamal, Azaz and Jarablus under the control of the Ba'ath regime, Turkey and affiliated gangs or ISIS. Around 500-600 people find shelter in Efrîn on daily basis. Some of these displaced people are settled in refugee camps and others near their families in the region.
Asayish (public security) official Nezîr Heyder stated that they help the migration victims reach safe destinations.
Telar El-Rawî, a displaced person from the Bukamal region of Deir ez-Zor, said their home had been badly damaged by the fighting between ISIS and the regime forces, so he headed for a safe and peaceful area.
Another displaced resident, Hiyam Seed Allah El-Rawî from Bukemal stated that they have no other option for a peaceful life as their lives were severely affected by the war.
