‘Syrians have the right to establish their own system’

Debibe Al-Nasir, one of the executives of the Women's Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) said that the Turkish state wants to destroy the democratic project of the Autonomous Administration through its attacks.

The invading Turkish state is fighting democratic projects through its attacks on North and East Syria and South Kurdistan (North Iraq) under the pretext of protecting its national security.

Debibe Al-Nasir, an administrator in the Women's Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) spoke to ANHA about Turkey’s increasingly ongoing attacks, saying, “The invading Turkish state's attacks on North and East Syria are not new. These attacks started in the aftermath of the establishment of the Autonomous Administration, which is a decentralized democratic system and fulfils the demands of its citizens. All the peoples and other states in the region want the same administration system.”

“The objective of the Turkish attacks is to destroy the self-government system and its project because it offers development, justice and equality to our people,” she added.

'SYRIA'S NATIONAL SECURITY UNDER JEOPARDY'

“The invading Turkish state claims to defend its national security, but in fact, the Autonomous Administration and the SDF have not carried out any attack on Turkish territory. Currently, the invading Turkish state forces are attacking North and East Syria, jeopardizing Syria’s national security. It is the right of Syrians to establish their own system in North and East Syria,” Al-Nasir maintained.

Pointing to the cooperation of the peoples with the security forces, Al-Nasir stated, “People's solidarity, the resistance of the SDF and the security forces ensure security and stability. The people's solidarity with the Autonomous Administration and the MSD inside and outside the country will frustrate the occupation projects.”

“The people of North and East Syria govern their own regions and work within the institutions of the Autonomous Administration. The people of the region thus stand by their own administration and forces,” Al-Nasir concluded.
