Teachers in Heseke: Everyone should stand against the invasion attacks

Teachers in Heseke voiced reaction to the silence of the Iraqi and South Kurdistan governments against the Turkish state’s genocidal invasion attacks and called on everyone to take responsibility in the face of the attacks.

The invading Turkish state has been conducting occupation attacks on South Kurdistan (Bashur) since April 23. Although it has been using banned and chemical weapons, Iraqi and Bashur governments still maintain their silence. Teachers in Heseke assessed the issue and pointed out the significance of a common and determined stance against the invasion.

‘We stand with the resistance’

Nisrin Mecdel stated that the Turkish state intends to revive the Ottoman era and said, “Within the scope of the Ottoman project, Turkey seeks to occupy South Kurdistan. Previously, it had carried out invasion attacks on North and East Syria. The fascist Turkish state aims to sow discord among the Kurds but, the Peoples’ Defense Forces (HPG) properly respond to these attempts. We stand with the resistance, too.”

Stressing the Turkish state’s invasion attempts against South Kurdistan, Midya Eli said, “Turkey, before the expiration of the Treaty of Lausanne in the near future, aims to occupy many territories. Bashur government remains silent against the invasion attacks. Such a silence paves the way for invasion. All Kurdish political parties should unite and struggle against the invasion attacks.”

‘They aim to weaken the Democratic Nation project’

Heyfaa Ehmed called the silence of South Kurdistan government partnership in the invasion attacks and said, “The Turkish state intends to annihilate the Autonomous Administration project. This is why Turkey attacks the Kurdish people. All peoples should support the HPG. The Turkish state wants the Democratic Nation project to fail.”
