Teachers in Raqqa call for international action against invasion

Call for international authorities to act against the genocidal campaign of the Turkish state.

Teachers in Raqqa denounced the Turkish state’s genocidal attacks against North and East Syria.

The Co-chairperson of Raqqa Teachers’ Union, Ehmed El-Deyf, read a press statement which said the following; “The occupant Turkish state continues its inhumane acts against the people in North and East Syria. the attacks are affecting all aspects of life adversely. Most especially, the education of thousands of students, who have been displaced from their homes and turned into refugees, has been suspended. The Turkish state seeks to provoke a conflict and to change the identity of the region through a demographic change. We, the peoples of Syria, have been living on these lands from past to present. We call upon the United Nations, the Security Council and human rights organisations to raise their voices against the occupation and crimes targeting the people of Syria.”
